My sister and I had a good time here. If you are a tourist and it’s your first time, I would highly suggest booking via a concierge service like Merola Luxury where they can seamlessly book a table for you. That made our reservation very smooth and they gave us a table facing the beach, which I had specifically requested. Service was good although there was a very slow start for us at the beginning. I had to go up to the servers after waiting for some time in the beginning to ask to get served. After that we didn’t have any issues and the food and juices were very good. We did deal with two unpleasant Brazilian men who had no self awareness on purpose and were leaning against our chair and table. He was going to dump his finished beer bottle on our table when I gave his friend a look to not even think about it. We ignored him but definitely interesting characters there, a lot of IG girls and wannabe’s, which for me personally ruins the vibe and atmosphere. You have a great view because you’re facing and on Ipanema Beach so you can order your food, go swim and then come back. Although the beach does get packed and it is a little bit of a walk to get to the ocean. We had fun regardless minus the annoying and obnoxious Brazilian guys invading our space that I had no time for and the slow start of service in the beginning. Prices are similar to US beach club prices but I’d still recommend to go for the experience if you are a tourist and visiting RIO for the first time.

Sel D'Ipanema beach club not to be confused with Sol de Ipanema hotel. Food is great in this beach club but I think service is their number one strength. I've been in different beach clubs in different places but this definitely ranks number one. The views are amazing especially during the evening at around 5:30 or 6:30 p.m. You can also use a beach chair and an umbrella starting at about 160 Reals plus your drinks and you have to keep consuming/buying from the menu

Pretty nice beach club with great music and good vibes. The drinks are OK and the service is OK as well. The best thing about this place are the great views and modern and electronic music playing in the background. I’m not sure I would recommend to have a full meal here, but could be OK.

This place was one of my favorite that we visited in our time in Rio! Great seafood, great views, right on the beach. Also a spectacular place to watch the sunset! I was disappointed because they were out of oysters for the day but other than that, everything we ordered was satisfying and well prepared. Another side note, for being a beach club, this spot has excellent bathrooms as well. Definitely a major plus! If you plan on visiting, I would definitely recommend getting a reservation as the first time we tried to go there was an hour wait for 2.

We came here a couple of times, because the food was great & we likes the spot to have a nice view from the beach, having a nice drink and meal, or just to enjoy a dat at the beach. Sel D'Ipanema Beach Club is an outstanding restaurant situated on Ipanema Beach. During my visit, I had the pleasure of asking the waiter for a recommendation for a Brazilian specialty dish. He suggested the Salmon fish, and I decided to give it a try. To my delight, not only was the presentation visually stunning, but the taste was also truly amazing. The service provided by the staff was excellent, and the overall ambiance of the restaurant was truly enjoyable. I highly recommend Sel D'Ipanema Beach Club to anyone seeking a memorable dining experience.
